Is it Live or is it Imagination?

Today I am imagining that I am on a South Pacific Island, sunning myself on the beach. I have everything I could possibly want. I am getting so good at imagining I can feel the sun's warmth. You might laugh and think I am silly however imagination are the stuff dreams are made of and they can become "things". For instance I could set here and fret about how cold it is or gloomy the sky is and I would begin to feel very bad or I can choose a few minutes to let my imagination run wild (in a positive way) and feel much better. Who knows I just might imagine myself right into a real trip to the South Pacific. Just try it sometime when you need to get away from it all and cant afford to or cant afford the time to really go. I'm telling it just gets better and better. Next time I am taking my dog Baby.

The Internet is Great Exposure for Your Small Business

Using the internet to build your business, works equally well for an online or offline business, and is a great way to increase your exposure to get more customers. You can pick up more “local” business and or worldwide business whatever fits your businesses model.  Many features of internet marketing are free and you can do for yourself if you choose to educate yourself. One of the best resources available on the internet is small business articles. When you write an article and submit it to an article directory or a blog, you are vastly increasing the exposure of your business.
To get the maximum exposure there are a few things you're going to need to do. For one thing you'll want to make sure that your article is optimized with keywords. And not just any keywords either, you have to focus only on those keywords that have fairly high monthly searches and low competition.  It's definitely a balancing act. If you target keywords that have a lot of searches they will most likely have too much competition and will be virtually impossible for you to get a good ranking for that keyword.
If you focus on keywords that don't have enough searches it won't get you very much traffic for your efforts. Everyone has their own opinion of what a 'good number of searches' and 'low competition' really means. I've always used the guide line of at least 1,500 searches a month and less than 20,000 in competition and it's worked very well.
Now that you've got a list of 10-20 keywords for your niche, it's time to write several articles for each keyword. If you have 10 keywords you can write 3-5 articles for each keyword. This will give you a lot of great exposure online. Make sure each articles are as unique as possible and that you are giving good content.
Now, you will submit those articles to article directories online so they can be published. Don't worry about the 'published' part. As long as your article is written in accordance with their rules and fits their genre it will generally be published.  If they don’t publish it you will in most cases get an email explaining why your article was not posted. Your article should be around 500 words or more to fit most of the directories requirements on length.
One thing to remember, most article directories won't let you do any direct 'selling' in your article. You will need to provide useful information but the selling needs to be done in the resource box at the end of the article.  This is where you can put a link to your website that people can click on and be taken to your site.
The resource box is your place to shine. Make sure you make it something interesting. Pique your reader’s curiosity and interest. The more compelling you make it the more likely they are to click on the link and check out your site...which is exactly what you want to happen.
This method can work very well for most any type of business. The internet is an amazing resource for business owners and it would be just plain silly to not take full advantage of all it has to offer. Even if you can't stand the idea of writing you can take full advantage of small business articles. You can always hire someone to do your writing for you. You can find many good writers who would be willing to write your articles for you.

SEO Basics - Learn Why Page Rank is Important to Your Website.

The most basic of SEO strategies is getting your web site to have a “Google Page Rank” 'Page Rank' is really a score Google gives to a website page that is representative of how important Google thinks the page is on the internet.

When one page links to another one, it is successfully casting a vote for another page. Because the more votes you can get for the page all through the whole web, the greater importance that page must be. That is certainly quite an assumption, don't you think so?

The significance of the page which is casting the vote determines how important the vote itself really is, meaning in Google calculations of a page's importance originates from the votes cast for it. These votes are then taken into consideration once the page is ranked.

To see how your SEO efforts are doing most of the time you can check your, Google Page Rank in conjunction with Alexa ratings. These numbers will give you a fairly good idea of how your SEO is progressing. They also implemented a different relevance calculator that (in keeping with its name) tries to ascertain how relevant the hyperlinks into and out of your website are. The most crucial factor at this point is that Google considers longer lasting links as more meaningful when compared to a recently published link.

To increase your webpage rank is to contact people with relevant and complementary content (you don’t want to link to sites that you will be competing with). These links in all likelihood will last and they will not only improve your Google Ranking, they also will provide relevant hits via the hyperlinks themselves.

How does it all work?

Google calculates the Page Rank (PR) of all pages it indexes, taking into consideration every one of the links both to and from each site. Whenever a page 'votes' for other pages by linking to them, it shares out a number of its Page Rank worth between these pages.

This algorithm signifies that a hyperlink to your site coming from a page with;

PR4 (i.e. a Page Rank of 4) and several outbound links will be worth more than a link coming from a page with PR8 and a hundred or so outbound links. It's not only the PR of the page that's important, but additionally the volume of links it's got.

Keep in mind that the more links that are on a page, the less Page ranking value your page receives from their website. It's also wise to remember that it requires progressively more PR to go up a level. It is actually generally speaking, pretty simple to achieve a page Rank of three.
